How to leave an anonymous Google review

  1. Open the Google Maps app on your mobile device.

  2. Tap your profile photo in the top right corner.

  3. Tap “Your profile”

  4. Tap “Edit profile”

  5. Check the box at the top of the screen that says “Use a custom display name & picture for posting.”

You can now enter a display name—for example, your first name or “Anonymous”—to protect your privacy when you leave a review.

Note: This profile change applies to all of your Google reviews, past and future. If you ever turn off this display name, your real name will appear by the review.
